CPR CALL BLOCKER V10000 REVIEW
Feature #1: 10,000 Pre-Programmed Scam Numbers
The CPR Call Blocker V10000 comes pre-loaded with 10,000 phone numbers of known scam callers.
So if a scammer calls you from one of these numbers, the device will automatically block the call.
Our Take: Pre-Programming Is NOT Enough
In our testing, we found that traditional call blockers like the CPR Call Blocker V10000 only stop ~5% of unwanted calls.
This is because scammers have access to hundreds of millions of phone numbers.
Which means 10,000 pre-loaded numbers statistically represents 0% of the possible numbers scammers can (and mostly do) use.
imp’s approach is much more reliable, stopping 100% of unwanted calls.
How? Because imp checks every call. If it’s a caller imp doesn’t recognize, your phone simply doesn’t ring. Not even once.
Feature #2: Manually Block 2,000 Numbers
The defining feature on most CPR Call Blocker devices is a big, red “Block Now” button for users to press each and every time an unwanted call sneaks around the device.
If a number calls your phone, and isn't one of the pre-programmed numbers on the device, your phone will ring. Which means you have to manually block the number after you already answered.
Our Take: Trying to Block a Number After the Fact is Already too Late
You or your loved ones are only a single call away from a scammer stealing thousands of dollars.
So if you are relying on blocking the bad guys AFTER the phone rings - or even worse, after the phone rings and you actually answer it - you are already too late.
With imp, the only time your phone rings is when someone you want to talk to is calling.
Otherwise, all other calls are silently sent to voicemail.
Feature #3: Whitelist Up to 1,000 Numbers
For numbers you don't want blocked, CPR Call Blocker V10000 lets you create a personal list of allowed caller numbers.
The CPR V10000's "Allow List" button stores up to 1,000 numbers for your friends, family and other people you know.
Our Take: Manually Adding 1,000 Numbers is Slow & Cumbersome
In order to add someone to your "Allow List", users have to pick up the landline phone, manually type in the exact phone number, and then physically push the "Allow" button on the device.
And then repeat up to 1,000 times.
This process is not only slow, it also leaves plenty of margin for error.
imp automatically creates an "Allow List" for you at setup by syncing your smartphone contacts with your landline.
